THIEF OF THE MOON was celebrated at the Michael S. Roif Award competition for Best Music Video.
THE DAY PASSES won Best 16mm Film
The podcast PRETTY LITTLE LIARS / DEEP RED won Best in Competition.
The Michael S. Roif Award of the University of Massachusetts Amherst Film Studies program is a competitive annual prize awarded to students whose works of filmmaking and film scholarship demonstrate exceptional creativity and accomplishment.
For over 20 years, the Roif family, through the endowment of the Michael S. Roif Award, has promoted fim students in their undergraduate work at UMass Amherst and inspired career successes beyond graduation.
Communication Student Showcase and Awards
THE FUTURE OF COFFEE won 2nd place for audio-visual work at the UMass Communication Department Student Awards, which represents work across the themes of the department.
Students submitted their work, which was judged by a panel of faculty and graduate students. Projects had to be completed in the context of a Communication class and needed to demonstrate a high level connection to Communication excellence.
Student World Impact
Film Festival (SWIFF)
Through The Aura Title Sequence received a Semi-Finalist Award for Best Super Short Film at the 2023 Student World Impact Film Festival (SWIFF). SWIFF is the largest student film festival in the world and this year received 13,868 submissions from filmmakers in 120 countries.

THE SAMMIES
At “The Sammies: 18th Annual Student Life Award,” UMass Fashion Organization was celebrated with the Outstanding Arts and Media RSO award.

DESIGN NATION 2023
Selected to attend the Design Nation Conference, the nation's only all-expenses paid design conference for anyone with a love for design. From an extremely competitive applicant pool, all 100 selected attendees, representing 20+ nations, come from incredibly unique backgrounds and have a diverse array of interests in the design field. Presented by Business Today, an undergraduate-focused business organization based out of Princeton University.
